Since finishing BBM 6.0, I've had a hard time committing to a new workout routine. I try something new for a week or two, then I get bored or restless or I don't feel challenged enough. So today, I tried something very new and I feel slimy, sweaty, and AH-mazing!
I've been feeling underwhelmed with Betty Rocker, I just don't feel like I'm working enough. I was doing her's and cardio or upper body from BBM 6.0. It was working, but I still didn't feel like it was making any improvements and my numbers were moving in the wrong directions.
One of my favorite blog/vloggers shared a clip on Instagram yesterday, meal prepping with Tone It Up. I figured, what the hell, I'll check them out too. Turns out, they have a free 8 week course too, so I've decided to pick and choose to combine into my own routine. I've got some decently thick legs, not fat, just thick. I think they're pretty strong, but that's just because they can carry myself, and 50 pounds of kids up the stairs without getting sore/tired/giving out. 8 months ago, that would have been impossible. I want to strengthen them, as well as minimize my "mommy tummy".
I opted to combine today's Tone It Up "Booty" workout with a tabata cardio routine from the very end of BBM 6.0. It took about 30 minutes and I'm still sweating 20 minutes later. Shower time!
I recommend starting with the cardio in an effort to keep your heart rate elevated for longer, however, I have no science or training backing that claim. Also, make sure to check with your medical professional before starting a new workout routine, to make sure that this is a safe and healthy move for you. I plan on doing this routine twice more this week, and upper body routines three times this week as well. I'll post that routine once I get it put together.
* I altered the moves from her original routine because I didn't have my sports bra (it's in the wash) and jumping with breastfeeding boobs is hazardous...
(btw, weird angle=giant nose! oops)
