Yesterday was Day 30 in this new 90 day challenge. For the first 30 days, I have been drinking my regular 120 ounces of water, and trying to incorporate veggies in our meals more. I've done pretty well with eating more veggies, but I think I've allowed myself too many treats as well.
I have overindulged, especially over the last week, and I don't even have a good reason for it. I just love chocolate. Understandably, my results haven't been what I would have liked over the last 30 days. Honestly, I've gained weight and inches since the 1st and I really hate it.
However, I refuse to back down and quit. Mostly because quitting will definitely not improve my health and well being. Also, I'm incredibly stubborn. My husband even commented last night that he is impressed that I keep going when I'm not seeing the results I want. I've done the quitting thing before and it didn't make me happier. I have to keep going and I need to change what I'm doing if I really want to see the physical changes in my body.
30 Day Results
Visually, I look pretty much exactly the same, not to mention my measurements are going in the wrong direction...
Over the next 30 days, I am trying a low/no carb diet with a high intake of protein. I'm doing a low key version of Keto or Atkins. I'm not going to super extremes, but I haven't had coffee or sugar in 36 hours and I have to be honest, it's kinda killing me. I need to find a coffee I like enough to drink black. No coffee is no bueno. I'm snippy and irritable and I feel really badly for my husband and boys right now. They are all having to deal with this crazy lady while my body figures out how to be happy without all the sweetness and caffeine. It's gonna be a rough few days, but hopefully I'll be better by the end of the week.
Let's see what this new diet does for me over the next 30 days!
