Previously, I've shared tips on how to have a fun and Minimalist Easter, as well as creating and sharing this free printable Easter Banner, but this time, I'm going to share a few more fun and crafty ways to celebrate and decorate on the cheap!
Easter is a few weeks away, but Ostara (aka Eostre or the Spring Equinox) is only a few days away. If you're looking for some cute crafts and was to celebrate the season, look no further! I've been shopping for ideas to teach my kids about the upcoming seasonal changes (what's happening and why) as well as things that are fun and cute to hang around the house.
The minimalist in me instantly vetoing anything that required an excess of supplies that would ultimately get thrown away, as well as things that were eco-friendly (i.e. not plastic). These perimeters knocked out a lot of the generic crafts you find in the cheap-o section of Micheals, Joann, Hobby Lobby, Target, Walmart, etc.
If you want to try a twist on an old favorite, try putting shaving cream in a tray (I used a small baking pan), adding a couple drops of food coloring, and smother the eggs in the colorful cream. It makes a very cool texture and the possibilities are endless when you're mixing your own colors! I used this video because I'm a visual learner.
