If you Google or Pinterest search for "newborn must haves" or registry ideas/suggestions, you will find literally hundreds, if not thousands of things you "need" before you bring your baby home, and hundreds more things you "need" to get through the first year with your new babe. I'm gonna simplify all this for you right now and give you a very short list of the things you actually need for your baby.
Anyone else have a spouse/partner that just says no to everything? Even stuff you know they'd be happy about later, but they refuse to agree to it now. The start of the new year is usually when people decide to make drastic changes in their lives: quit eating a certain way, start eating a certain way, go to the gym everyday, read more, watch TV less, get outside, be active, be present, etc. All of these are GREAT things, but people tend to be overzealous, plan to do too much, then quit within a month because it's too hard.
